Picnic Day

Rehearsal:
Friday, April 17 at 5pm
Davis Methodist
Church: 1620 Anderson Rd, Davis,
CA 95616
At the rehearsal we will: play through all the
songs
o Practice marching
o Assign spots to helpers
o Make the inventory of carts and wagons to carry
violin cases and the boom box
o Discuss a possible group clean, tasty and
nutritious breakfast to feed the group around 8:30 a.m. breakfast

number;

Russel field, to prepare - See the map
below (We are in RED)
7:30 a.m. Marching bands
gathering is on Russel field off of California.
At that time, it should still be easy to find parking on Oak or in the parking
structure on Howard way (parking
is free on picnic day at UCD, Wahoo!).
7:45 – Arrive on Russell Field (everyone needs to arrive before 8)
8:05 Judging of bands. We
need to prepare our rows promptly upon arrival and decorate the violins scrolls
with balloons for the
8:10 entries begin to line
up and merge
9:00 parade entries are
escorted to the Grand stands
9:30 Parade officially steps
off
Parade route : South on
California, East in front of the grand stands, South along the quad, Pass
sShield library, North on A, East on Second, North on F, West on third
Parade finishes at Third and A but
cannot stay there. All entries must go back to Russel field.
The attire for the picnic day
parade will be red felt cowboy hat with tie
strings, red vest, white shirt and blue
jeans

February 7 (Sat) at 10:30am: Twinkle Graduation - only for those just graduating the Twinkle variations

Graduation. There will be a rehearsal before the concert. Location and time TBA
May 17 (Sun): Spring Studio Solo Recital
– Location and time TBA, but will be later in the afternoon.
