Upcoming Concerts

I just wanted to make you all aware of two concerts coming up that affect either myself or my husband. You are not obliged to go to them at all, but I just wanted to make you aware of them and if you would like to attend, that would be great!

The Empyrean Ensemble: New Music from Davis
Wednesday, June 2, 7-9pm
Vanderhoef Studio Theatre, Mondavi Center

• This event will include works from UC Davis graduate composers - including my husband :-)

You can also peruse the UC Davis Department of Music calendar for other concerts that may be of interest to you.

• For example, the next day, June 3, the UC Davis Symphony Orchestra will also be having a concert.

The Davis Chorale will present J.S. Bach’s seminal choral work, the B Minor Mass (I will be playing in the orchestra)

Tuesday, June 1: Summer lessons commence You have the option to choose earlier lessons during the day. Please contact Sarah to schedule this.

Tuesday, July 6: All-combined Group The Willows Clubhouse. 5:30-6:15.

Saturday, July 24: Makeup lesson for any summer lessons missed due to vacations, etc...

July 26-30: NO Violin - no lessons or group. VACATION

Thursday, August 26: Last day of summer lessons

Friday, August 27: Studio BBQ - Barth's Home

• Food Sign-up sheet to be passed around at your lesson.
• Bring some outdoor toys to play with: kite, soccer ball, etc...
  

Monday, August 30: 2nd Makeup date for any summer lessons missed.

August 31-Sept 3: Break before Fall lessons commence - NO Violin (no lessons or group!)

Recital Program Cover Contest

The Almetus Music Studio would like to announce the first
Recital Program Cover Contest

The drawing that is chosen will be used for the cover of our recital programs. See all the pertinent info below:

• Draw a picture - violin/music related - No particular theme
• Size: 8 1/2 X 5 1/2 (basically a regular size paper -8 1/2 X 11 - folded in half) with the longer side (8 1/2") vertical.
